5. Grease and oil: warm water and dish soap

7. Oxygen bleach for the stubborn, set-in stains

- Dissolve the powder in warm water (never hot, unless the label allows it), soak the garment for 30 minutes to 2 hours, then wash normally.
- It is colour-safe and works on most dyes and organic stains: grass, berries, coffee, wine, juice.
- Oxygen bleach is not the same as chlorine bleach. Chlorine bleach damages wool, silk and many colours, and it can set protein stains permanently. Skip it unless the care label explicitly allows it.
