Each estimate: name (optional string, maximum 80 characters); length METRES (0.001–10000); width and depth MILLIMETRES (0.1–200); profile "rectangle" or "triangle"; cartridge MILLILITRES (1–5000); extra percent (0–100). Numbers must be finite. Dimensions always metric in saved links. Convert feet ×0.3048, inches ×25.4. Cartridge ml does not convert.
Triangle dimensions are perpendicular legs, not the sloping face. Rectangle depth is filled sealant thickness.
Each estimate uses one uniform joint size and product. Formula: length × width × depth × profile factor (1 or 0.5) = geometric ml; multiply by (1+extra/100). Divide by cartridge and round up PER ESTIMATE. Shopping total sums these cartridge counts; leftovers are NOT pooled. Combined ml includes allowances. Different products must not be assumed interchangeable.
Old v1 single-estimate objects remain supported: {"v":1,"length":5,"width":6,"depth":6,"profile":"rectangle","cartridge":300,"extra":10}. They open as one estimate and save as v2.
Ask for missing measurements, profile, cartridge volume and allowance; do not invent manufacturer requirements. Names should identify the jobs/products. Defaults are examples. Follow actual product instructions for design and suitability.
